Tsingtao Brewery should be regarded as one of the few remaining historical breweries. The other Harbin Breweries and Shenyang Breweries have been demolished. What a good historical proof this is, but it is a pity.
The following is a brief introduction.
1. Construction of the factory
In 1898, when the "Jiao-ao Lease Treaty" was signed, our Qingdao was handed over to Germany. Thousands of foreigners came to Qingdao, but At that time, there was no beer in Qingdao, so the following factories were built.
In August 1903, British and German businessmen jointly established the "Germany Beer Company Qingdao Co., Ltd.", which was the predecessor of Tsingtao Beer.
In 1906, Tsingtao Brewery won the gold medal at the Munich Beer Expo.
2. Turbulent Era
In 1914, World War I broke out, Germany was defeated, and Japan invaded Qingdao. The brewery was subsequently renamed "Dainippon Ale Co., Ltd. Qingdao Factory".
3. Return to state ownership
In 1945, after the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, the factory was seized by the Military and Political Department of the Kuomintang government, taken over by the government, and renamed "Tsingtao Beer Company".
In 1947, "Qilu Enterprise Co., Ltd." purchased the factory from the Enemy and Puppet Industry Processing Bureau and named it "Tsingtao Brewery".
In 1949, Qingdao was liberated, and the brewery received its last name, "State-owned Tsingtao Brewery".
In 1950, the company successfully experimented with growing hops, eliminating its dependence on imported hops.
I won’t tell you much about the subsequent story. I overcame obstacles all the way, made great progress, won awards in various competitions, and then went public
