1. Tire service life: It is recommended not to exceed 3-4 years or 60,000-80,000 kilometers.
Most car owners and friends are quite economical, and generally do not change tires until the tread wear limit is reached. But tires are rubber products, which have a long service life and will age and crack over time. Because supporting the vehicle for a long time provides friction for driving and braking, it will cause wear. If the mileage is short and the road conditions are good, the service life is 3-4 years only in terms of time; If the mileage is relatively large and only measured by mileage, then the use distance is 60,000-80,000 kilometers. But in real life, most of our cars are driving at low speed and parked on the outdoor roadside, and the quality and driving habits of vehicles are different all year round, so 3-4 years or 60,000-80,000 kilometers is only an ideal standard. With the wear and aging of tires, the handling performance of vehicles will also decline, bringing many safety hazards. When you encounter tire puncture, bulging and tire cracking during daily driving, you must check and replace it in time.
Second, understand the basic information of tires
When buying a tire, the tread label of the new tire shows the tire model, product name and usage tips.
If there is no sticker, we will look for these numbers and letter symbols from the side of the tire.
1, the most conspicuous number: specifications.
195: the width of the tread contacting the ground (unit: mm);
60: aspect ratio (sidewall height ÷ tread width ×100%);
R: (radial) radial tire, by embedding steel wire curtain in the tire, the tire has longer service life, better handling and more comfortable driving. There are also some models that are not marked with "R", such as "D" bias tire, "X" high pressure tire, "B" belt tire and "C" reinforced tire.
Tread? Cord (tread): 2? Polyester+? 2? Steel? +? 1? Polyamide? (2 polyester matrix layer +2 steel wire layer? +1 polyamide protective layer)
Sidewall? Layer number:? 2? Polyester (two-layer polyester matrix)
15: inner diameter dimension of hub (unit inch);
No.88: load index. The following figure is a comparison table between the load index and the maximum weight that a single tire can bear.
V: speed level. The following figure is a comparison table between the speed level and the maximum speed that the tire can bear. It is very dangerous to drive faster than the tires can bear.
2. Maximum allowable load and inflation pressure.
Corresponding to the load index of "88", the maximum load of this tire is 560KG, the maximum inflation pressure is 350kPa, and the inflation value recommended by the manufacturer is 250kPa.
3. The four digits shown by the arrow in the figure below indicate the date of production.
Y5 in the above picture is the factory code, indicating that the place of origin is Shanghai.
DA and 02NX are manufacturers' own codes.
Among the last four digits, the first two digits 0 1 indicate 1 week, and the last two digits 16 indicate the production year of 20 16. Rubber products will age with time, so the closer the production date, the better.
4.3T index:
Tread wear: wear index, that is, tire life, is expressed in numbers. The greater the value of the same brand, the harder and more wear-resistant the rubber. For example, the index of this tire is 420, which means that this tire is an all-weather tire with a theoretical mileage of 20 1600 km.
It should be noted that only the wear index of the same brand has reference, and the standards of different brands are different, so there is no comparability. The above picture is the comparison table of wear resistance index in ideal state. You can calculate the wear index of the tire according to this table.
Grip index, especially reflecting the drainage performance of pavement under wet conditions. From high to low, they are AA, A, B and C, among which AA is the strongest and C is the weakest.
Temperature: temperature index, indicating the high temperature resistance of tires. From high to low, it is A, B and C, in which A is the strongest and C is the weakest. The faster the vehicle runs, the higher the tire temperature, especially in summer, when the vehicle runs at high speed, the tire temperature is very high, so it is recommended to choose the tire with temperature index A.
5. DOT: We? Department? Yes? Transportation (U.S. Department of Transportation), all vehicle parts sold in the United States must have DOT certification.
6. Outside/inside: outside/inside installation sign, and inside indicates that this surface faces inside during installation.
7. Trademark and manufacturer model
8. There are also some tires with the letter "M+S", which is the first letter of two English words, M is Mud-Terrain mud and S is Snow. This kind of tire is the general tire for all seasons. There are also some tires with snowflake signs behind the M+S symbol, indicating snow tires in winter. There are also some brands of tires that will be represented by graphics. For example, the following represents all-weather four-season tires.
The letter "P" or no letter is printed on the tire to indicate the passenger car tire. In addition, some tires are marked with "HT, AT, MT", indicating different types of tires and highlighting the functionality of daily passenger car tires.
HT: Expressway? Terrain (road all-terrain tire) is the tire we usually use. This kind of tire is soft and delicate, suitable for urban roads and lightly unpaved roads.
AT: all of them? Scary? T/A (all-road tire) has both comfort and light off-road performance, and is suitable for moderate unpaved roads.
MT: Mud? Terrain? T/A (off-road tire), with hard tires and deep patterns, can provide strong grip, and is suitable for heavy unpaved roads with strong off-road performance.
