The Fund Practitioner Qualification Examination can be taken 7 times a year.
Three of them are national unified examinations, and the remaining four are appointment-based examinations1. The national unified examination is held simultaneously in provincial capitals and key cities, and is larger in scale; while the appointment-based examination is determined by the local fund practitioner institution. The examination time and number of examinations are divided into three subjects, including "Fund Laws and Regulations" , Professional Ethics and Business Standards", "Basic Knowledge of Securities Investment Funds" and "Basic Knowledge of Private Equity Investment Funds".
Fund practitioners need to pass the fund practitioner qualification examination before they can engage in fund practitioner work. The exam is organized by the China Securities Association (CSA). The exam content includes basic knowledge of the securities market, investment fund laws and regulations, fund investment theory, fund operation and risk control, etc. The exam format is multiple-choice and subjective questions, and the passing rate is 60%.
In addition to the Fund Practitioner Qualification Examination, fund practitioners also need to take a Fund Practitioner Professional Ethics Examination. The exam is organized by the China Fund Association (CFA). The exam content mainly covers the professional ethics, laws and regulations, industry standards and other aspects of fund practitioners. The exam format is multiple choice and subjective questions, and the passing rate is 80%.

Time for the Fund Practitioner Qualification Examination
The Fund Practitioner Qualification Examination is divided into two different forms, namely the appointment-based examination and the national unified examination. Appointment examinations are mainly held in January, April, May and August. The national unified examinations are mainly held in February, July and September, and the specific examination times are mainly announced.
