Four classics teach us how to build a team

To start a business, you first need to form a team.

What is a team? To put it simply, it is a head with a number of talents.

This comes from the word "split": regiment means to trap talents (a word for talent in the box); team means to obey the command (a word for ear next to a person).

How to form a team? China’s four great classics can give us a lot of good inspiration!

Each of the four major classics has a famous team building case: in "The Romance of the Three Kingdoms", it is Liu Bei's team that conquers the country; in "Water Margin", it is Song Jiang's uprising team; "Journey to the West" In "A Dream of Red Mansions", it is the team of Tang Monk who collects scriptures; in "A Dream of Red Mansions", it is the team of Jia Baoyu who writes poems (Begonia Poetry Society).

Team cohesion

Cohesion comes from the ideals, beliefs, and goals of the team.

The cohesion of Liu Bei's team is: the ideal of supporting the Han Dynasty.

The cohesion of Song Jiang’s team is: the heroic spirit of chivalry and justice.

The cohesion of the Tang Monk team is: the belief in saving all sentient beings.

The cohesion of Jia Baoyu’s team is: the elegance of poetry and lyrics.

Different ideals, beliefs, goals, and methods are also different:

Tang Monk relies on his faith and has his own divine arrangements (Tathagata Buddha asked Guanyin Bodhisattva to make arrangements). Therefore, as Tang Monk walks forward, he will meet Monkey King, White Dragon Horse, Zhu Bajie, and Monk Sha.

Liu Bei relied on ideals and needed strategies. Therefore, he first created his personal brand - Uncle Han Dynasty; then, he used "loyalty" and sworn sworn vows to win Guan Yu and Zhang Fei as partners; then he used "courtesy of the virtuous and corporal" to obtain Zhuge Liang as CEO by visiting the thatched cottage three times, and finally used Throwing sons, crying, borrowing, and taking wives were used to attract civil and military officials.

Song Jiang relies on loyalty and needs to use means (the difference between means and strategy is that it sometimes seems a bit "disrespectful"). Therefore, he would use secret communication with "thieves" to give "life-saving grace" to heroes such as Chao Gai, use his righteousness and wealth to win over heroes such as Wu Song, use the method of killing small people to force Qin Ming to go to Liangshan, and use frame-up methods to force Lu Junyi "To create a great cause".

Jia Baoyu relies on popularity, just on interest. The Haitang Poetry Club in "A Dream of Red Mansions" was purely because Jia Baoyu saw that Lin Daiyu, Xue Baochai and other sisters were talented but not interesting, so he brought them together.

Different realms lead to different investors

Tang Seng has the highest realm by relying on his faith. Therefore, his investors are also the most powerful. The major shareholder is Tathagata, the boundless Buddha!

Liu Bei relies on his ideals, not his realm. Therefore, his investors are also good. They are either feudal princes (such as Tao Qian, the governor of Xuzhou, Liu Biao, the governor of Jingzhou), or heroes who show off their bravery for a while.

Song Jiang relies on loyalty, and investment can only rely on everyone to pool their contributions. There are no angels or venture funds. Because of this, he later wanted to recruit people, just like those wealthy people who wanted to go public after making money.

Jia Baoyu relies on popularity, and his investment can only attract sponsorship, and he can find owners like Wang Xifeng who have some spare money. This is equivalent to the people who run seminars now. They seem to have feelings, but in fact they have no pursuit. They are just playing for a while, which is very different from the "cultural industry".

The team must play a combination of punches

They all know that the team must have a complete set of talents.

Tang Monk Team: Sun Wukong can fight, change, and find relationships; Zhu Bajie can tease, carry, and cooperate; Monk Sha can suffer, endure, and persevere; White Dragon Horse can walk, carry, and Can be silent.

Liu Bei’s team: Zhang Feimeng, Guan Yuqiang, and Zhuge Zhi. Especially when there was a shortage of military personnel, Liu Bei understood that he must make great efforts to find a military advisor.

Song Jiang's team couldn't be more complete, with 108 generals, including everyone, including miracle doctors, calligraphy masters, sculptors, and thieves.

In Jia Baoyu's poetry club, in addition to Daiyu's elegance school, Baochai's realism, and Shi Xiangyun's bold school, he also specially introduced rogues like Xue Pan to create some pear-shaped poems. Category, to amuse and enhance vitality.

However, due to different pursuits, the endings are very different.

Tang Seng is the most successful: he retrieves the true scriptures and achieves enlightenment.

Liu Bei followed: Separate one side and declared himself king and emperor.

Although Song Jiang had a small success, he finally died unexpectedly, just like some companies, although they were listed, they could not escape the end of being delisted and bankrupt.

Jia Baoyu’s poetry club later collapsed.

There are not many people, but there are lean people.

There is a phenomenon worthy of our attention, that is, the team members are not large, but lean.

The most successful "Journey to the West" team has only five people, but because they are all masters, they are the most successful. One Sun Wukong was actually stronger than Song Jiang's 100 generals.

Liu Bei's team in "Three Kingdoms" was much less civilized and military than Cao Cao's team, but they were able to stand upright in the end simply because one Guan Yu was ten times better than Cao Cao's five passes and six generals.
