Since joining USA-Today, Frank has been undertaking an important task, that is, researching new technologies and trends related to pictures, and promoting and implementing them in newspapers. For many years, USA-Today has been at the forefront of American newspaper industry in terms of pictures and design, and its comprehensive digitalization has achieved unprecedented returns and success in 1996 Jagland Olympic Games. Frank himself was in charge of directing USA-Today's photo department, and won many awards in many large-scale reports, including Seoul Olympic Games, Barcelona Olympic Games, Atlanta Olympic Games and Sydney Olympic Games.
He also actively participated in various training and exchange activities in the field of photography and pictures. In 2005, Frank taught in Yemen, Croatia, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan and other places, teaching news photography and editing courses. On June 5438+ 10, 2003, at the invitation of the American Embassy, he went to Colombia to attend the seminar on "Terrorism and Media" and served as the keynote speaker. From June 5 to 10, 2002, Frank taught documentary photography at Charles University in Czech Republic. In addition to the students of this university, many professionals from European media also took part in this course. During 1992, he visited Moscow, Warsaw, Prague and Budapest, and took part in the summer seminar tour of "Visual Sharing".
At the same time, he is also an active member of the American Press Photography Association, the head of 1990 "Digital Forum", and is also responsible for the cooperation between the American Press Photography Association and the International Photography Award of the Year (Poyi). He is the director of the American Press Photography Association Foundation, in charge of the foundation's scholarships and educational programs, and was elected as the Association's Person of the Year in 2004.
From 1998 to 2000, he was also a member of the board of directors of Raster College in Mississippi.
