This organization is called the SCP Foundation. Its full name is the Special Containment Procedures Foundation. The three letters SCP are the abbreviation of the Foundation’s English name Special Containment Procedures Foundation. They also refer to the Foundation’s main tasks when facing abnormal things: contain secure, control contain

and protect protect.

The SCP Foundation is a completely open writing platform. Anyone can write novels for the SCP Foundation, but only if the works are novel and interesting enough, they can be accepted.

According to the rules of the Foundation, novels have strict writing format restrictions.

Each novel accepted into the SCP file must have an item number, item level, special containment procedures, description, etc.

Furthermore, only a writing style called clinical accent is accepted.

The clinical style requires the author to be precise, concise and professional in his words and sentences. Any subjective description of sensory experience like the way he stared at me made me hairy is prohibited.

Under such writing rules, when the author is writing a novel, it is equivalent to playing a role-playing game.

Because of this, SCP novels look particularly like documentary reports, and the reading experience is significantly different from other novels.

So far, the SCP Foundation's official website on Wikidot has included more than 3,000 document novels and a large number of peripheral novels.
