He used to be a member of the academic Committee of the key laboratory of plant physiology and biochemistry of the Ministry of Agriculture.
He is on the editorial board of plant physiology communications.
At present, he is the deputy editor-in-chief of BMC Plant Biology (impact factor 4. 1) (since 2009).
