In pre-diabetes, glucose regulation is impaired, including impaired fasting blood glucose (IFG) and impaired glucose tolerance (IGT). The latter refers to a special metabolic state in which fasting blood glucose is normal, but postprandial blood glucose level is between normal people and diabetic patients. The diagnostic criterion is that in the glucose tolerance test (OGTT) of oral 75g glucose, the 2-hour plasma glucose is between 7.8-11.0 mmol/L. At present, IGT is generally considered as pre-diabetes, especially in the development of type 2 diabetes.
If the fasting blood glucose is 14, it is already diabetes!
The fasting blood glucose of normal people is 3.89 ~ 6.1mmol/l;
If it is greater than 6. 1mmol/L and less than 7.0mmol/L, it is impaired fasting blood glucose;
If twice fasting blood glucose is greater than or equal to 7.0mmol/L, it can be diagnosed as diabetes! !
If the random blood glucose is greater than or equal to11.1mmol/L, it can be diagnosed as diabetes.
It is suggested to review fasting blood glucose, glucose tolerance test and glycosylated hemoglobin.
